WHY PASS PLUS?

In the North East young drivers under 25 years of age only hold 10% of all driving licences but account for 20% of all accidents and 25% of all fatalities.

Pass Plus is a training scheme linked to insurance discounts that will benefit you, the newly qualified driver, by:

  • Saving you money on your car insurance
  • Showing you a positive driving style, which is both enjoyable and safe.
  • Helping you gain quality-driving experience safely

The Driving Standards Agency advises you to take further training after you have passed your test. As a new driver you are more at risk in the first 2 years after passing your test than at any other time in your motoring career.

Pass Plus must be completed in the first 12 months after passing your test. The course has been developed by the DSA with the help of Insurers and the Driving Instruction Industry.

The course consists of 6 Modules they are as follows:

  • Module 1

    • Part 1 – Introduction
    • Part 2 – Town Driving
  • Module 2 – All Weather Driving
  • Module 3 – Out of Town Driving and Rural Roads
  • Module 4 – Night Driving
  • Module 5 – Dual Carriageway Driving
  • Module 6 – Motorway Driving
You will not have to take a test. On satisfactory completion of the course you will receive a certificate from the DSA. This certificate is recognised by many Insurance Companies who offer large discounts that could save you hundreds of pounds.

The cost of the full course is only £120 which is a minimum of 6 hours tuition and a guaranteed satisfactory completion.
